 Richard M. Sharpe
Richard M. (Rick) Sharpe is Group Vice President & General Manager for B/E Aerospace’s Consumables Management segment, the world’s leading distributor of aerospace fasteners and consumables, where he leads all aspects of the business to achieve their strategic and financial objectives; maintains and enhances the group's leadership position in the industry; and captures synergies between his business segment and the rest of the company.
Mr. Sharpe joined B/E Aerospace in May 2009 as Executive Vice President & COO. Prior to joining B/E Aerospace, he served as Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing of Alcoa Fastening Systems. He was with Alcoa Fastening Systems and its predecessor companies for over 12 years, holding various senior leadership positions of increasing responsibility in operations, business development and sales.
Prior to that, Mr. Sharpe served as a member of the U.S. Air Force for 15 years as an F-15 fighter pilot, Flight Commander, and finally Fighter Program Manager where he managed the F-15 pilot training program and initial training and deployment plan for the F/A-22. He received numerous awards and decorations for outstanding performance during his career, including Meritorious Service Medals, Top Flight Commander Awards, and Squadron Top Gun Awards.
Mr. Sharpe graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.
